Your new job

There is now an opportunity for you who want to teach at Erik Dahlbergsgymnasiet to become part of our school. You will teach students in health and care subjects towards vocational introduction (IMY).

In IMY, there are smaller teaching groups, with a high teacher-to-student ratio, including two additional teachers in health and care subjects. We work closely with the students in teams consisting of teachers and EHT. The teams work with low-affective approaches, and we have a holistic perspective. It is expected of you as a teacher to be flexible and take responsibility for the students' entire school situation, even outside the classroom. We tailor a study plan for each student where we try to meet the student's specific needs. Therefore, you should have good communication skills with the students and a good understanding of how people absorb knowledge and their different conditions for doing so.

Examples of tasks:

• Be responsible for the pedagogical content in lessons with students.
• Plan, implement, and follow up on teaching in one or more subject areas.
• Collaborate with teams or teaching colleagues to improve instruction.
• Map students' knowledge levels and document their development.
• Ensure that teaching is conducted according to the curriculum and other governing documents.
• Develop students' abilities, knowledge, and self-confidence.
• Build trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
• Contribute to a pleasant working environment at the school that promotes learning and development during students' school days.
• Mentorship for the class.

About 1500 students are enrolled in four college preparatory programs, two vocational programs, and two vocational introduction programs. We have about 160 staff members who all work to create the best conditions for the school's youth. Your qualifications

We are primarily looking for someone with a relevant degree and who is a licensed health and care teacher and/or an experienced nurse. You are flexible and interested in different solutions and the opportunities they provide. You enjoy challenging yourself, trying new approaches, and being part of developing new methods to meet different students as well as to develop the program, education, and school. You have good verbal and written communication skills.

Your ability to work with student motivation is highly valued, so it is very meritorious if you have experience working with students who need special support. We also expect you to actively work to create conditions for students to benefit from the teaching in the best way. Our expectations for all teachers are that they strive for good relationships with our students and work for a good study environment in the classroom.
